Emma joined Channel 5 as Commissioning Editor, Documentaries and Popular Factual in February 2013. Her first commission, the 'And Proud’ series included the channel ratings winning On Benefits and Proud’.  She's now responsible for one of the biggest commissions for Channel 5, 'GPs: Behind Closed Doors' to ratings and critical success, as well as Kids' Hospital: Your Life In Their Hands', ‘My Nightmare Neighbour Next Door’ and the documentary series, Inside the Midland Hotel’.  She has also commissioned various Crime docudramas from ‘Myra Hindley: The Untold Story’ to a biopic on Fred and Rose West.

Previously Emma was the Director of Commissioning at The Lifestyles Channels in Australia, where she developed and managed key local productions as well as taking a number of UK formats and successfully translating into local versions such as ‘Wifeswap Australia’, ‘Location Location Australia’, ‘Grand Designs Australia’ and ‘Trinny and Susannah’s Australian Makeover Mission’. 

Prior to that Emma has worked as Channel Four Commissioning Editor for Features, where she was responsible for many of the channel defining hits such as ‘Supernanny’, ‘Grand Designs’, ‘Location, Location’, ‘No Going Back’,  ‘You Are What You Eat’ and ‘Ten Years Younger’. She has worked extensively as an executive producer in the independent sector producing content for all the major UK broadcasters as well as working for ITV productions and BBC Entertainment and Features.
