Jon Sechrist is vice president of production and development for Discovery Networks International (DNI), focusing on lifestyle and entertainment content for TLC International. Based in New York, Sechrist works with the international production community to develop and produce lifestyle and entertainment content for the division’s global roll-out of TLC, and manages the content partnership between DNI and Discovery’s U.S. female-targeted networks— TLC, OWN, Discovery Fit and Health, ID: Investigation Discovery and Destination America. His international productions include global hits Body Bizarre and My Naked Secret and popular series NY Ink, Bizarre ER, Preposterous Pets, World’s Worst Mom, Taste Off, Swinger Wives and Secret Eskimo Escape.

Sechrist joined DNI from TLC US, where he developed and produced successful network shows, Sister Wives, Cake Boss and Next Great Baker.  Sechrist is credited with executive producing notable specials including the 650 Lb. Virgin, Conjoined Twins and Child Frozen In Time. Sechrist is also responsible for BBQ Pitmasters and Making Over America with Trinny & Susannah.

Prior to joining Discovery, Sechrist was an ABC programming executive overseeing the Emmy Award winning All My Children and One Life to Live. He is a veteran of MTV Networks, where he was a key player launching, MTV2 and the network, Logo. At Logo he developed scripted shows, Noah’s Ark, Ex’s and Oh’s and was the EP for First Comes Love, Can’t Get a Date, CBS News on Logo, Real Momentum and Logo’s first live production, The 2008 Democratic Presidential Forum

Sechrist studied at the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University and graduated Summa Cum Laude.
