Laura Fleury is VP/Head of Programming for LMN, appointed to this position in 2013.   In this role, she is responsible for the overseeing the vision, development and production of all programming, including scripted and unscripted.    


In her prior role as VP Nonfiction Programming at A&E, she developed, launched and served (and still does) as Executive Producer for many of A&E's most critically-acclaimed and top-rated series including Emmy-Nominated BEYOND SCARED STRAIGHT (highest-rated series launch in network history),  THE FIRST 48 franchise, THE KILLER SPEAKS, CAJUN JUSTICE, MANHUNTERS: FUGITIVE TASK FORCE™, PARKING WARS, among others.  She also has developed and executive-produced several series for The BIO Channel, including I SURVIVED…™ which launched as the #1 series in the history of the BIO Channel, and I KILLED MY BFF. 


In her previous roles as Senior Director, and prior to that, Director, Documentary Programming at A&E Network, she developed, launched and executive-produced several documentary series and specials to ratings and critical acclaim including 2-time Emmy-nominated Cold Case Files, American Justice, Parole Board, Investigative Reports, etc.  Awards include a 2012 NAMIC Vision Award, the Thurgood Marshall Journalism Award in 2002, and numerous Emmy nominations. Prior to working in television,  Ms. Fleury worked in independent film production on scripted and unscripted films, including the award-winning documentaries BROTHER’S KEEPER and PARADISE LOST.  She is a 2008-2009 graduate of WICT’s (Women in Cable and Telecommunications) prestigious Betsy Magness Leadership Institute Class 18.
